heylilac is developed by HEYLILAC LTD, a UK limited company. We are building an AI-powered safe space where you can learn about intimate relationships and sexual health through private, safe, judgment-free conversations.

Your Privacy & How We Protect Your Identity
We have designed our technology from the ground up to ensure we never know who you really are when you are interacting with our platform and chatting with our AI. Here is how we do it:
1. Separation of Identity (Pseudonymization)
We use a technique called pseudonymization. This is a fancy way of saying we keep your login data (like your email and billing info) completely separate from your interactions with our AI (your questions, conversation history, etc).
- Authentication data (who you are) lives in one box.
- Conversation data (what you say) lives in a completely different, locked box.
- The two cannot be linked to identify you as a real individual in our system.
2. We Scrub Your Data First
Before your messages are even processed or stored, they go through a specialized "PII Guardrail". This system scans your texts and removes any Personally Identifiable Information (PII)βlike names, addresses, or phone numbers. If you accidentally type your real name in a chat, we wipe it out before the AI even sees it.
3. We Don't Train on Your Life
This is our core principle: Your messages and information you share will NEVER be used to train or improve our AI models.
- We do not use your data to make our AI smarter.
- Instead, we work with certified sexologists to produce synthetic data to evaluate and train our models.
4. Zero Data Retention with AI Partners
To power our conversations, we work with industry leaders like Google Vertex and Amazon Bedrock. We use them strictly under a Zero Data Retention (ZDR) policy.
- This means they process your request and immediately forget it.
- They do not log, store, cache, or train their models on your messages.
5. Voice Privacy
If you use our voice conversation features: We NEVER record or store recordings of your voice. Your voice input is processed instantly and then discarded immediately after you finish your turn throughout the conversation.
What Data We Actually Collect
We believe in only holding onto what is absolutely necessary to make the app work for you.
The Basics
- Email Address: So you can log in.
- Nickname: We ask for a nickname, not your real name, to address you in chats.
Your Journey
- Anonymized Conversation History: We store text summaries of your chats (scrubbed of personal details) so the AI remembers context.
- Progress Tracking: Data from questionnaires, quizzes, or exercises you complete.
- Intimate Context: Data related to your sex life and sexuality. Note: This is fully anonymized and de-identified.
Improving the App
- Analytics: We look at how people use the app generally (e.g., "50% of users use the quiz feature") to make the experience better, but this isn't linked to your identity.
How We Get This Data
We only get data that you voluntarily share with us. This happens when you interact with Lilac, reply to questions, or complete exercises. We don't snoop on other apps or get data from outside sources.
How We Use This Information
We use this data for one goal: to help you create a healthier and more pleasurable intimate life. Specifically, we use it to:
- Hyper-Curate Content: Create plans, exercises, and advice that fit your unique story.

We do not handle your credit card details.
